The term’s rugby is just about at an end, however, there are a handful of fixtures on Friday and Saturday to keep us all going.
The majority are already on their Christmas holidays or playing in the U18 Academy League over the weekend, however, a few schools will be turning out for the final time this term – though without any academy players.
Perhaps the biggest game of the weekend will be St Joseph’s College v Northampton School for Boys, and with Northampton Saints having a bye week in the U18 Academy League both sides ought to be pretty close to full strength, setting up for a cracking game.
Elsewhere St Ambrose College host Manchester Grammar, for what ought to be another excellent game, as should Bishop Vesey’s v Solihull, which looks as though it should be a highly contested game.
Not far from there King Henry VIII Coventry will make the trip to Abraham Darby, while Princethorpe College is in action away at Lawrence Sheriff.
Watford Grammar, meanwhile, host Hitchin, while in Yorkshire Hull Collegiate welcome the quietly successful Hymers College. Meanwhile in Scotland Kelvinside Academy take on Wellington School, from Ayr.
The now annual Bradford Grammar v Colfe’s game takes place on Friday evening, while in the Midlands KES Birmingham and KES Five Ways take each other on for the final games of the term. Bishop Wordsworth’s v Beechen Cliff has unfortunately been called off due to a frozen pitch.
